Manchester: Veteran English pacer James Anderson has been ruled out from the remainder of Lancashire's County Championship match against Durham after suffering calf injury while bowling.

The 36-year-old pacer pulled up while running in to bowl and tried thrice to complete the over before going off.

This is a major setback for England who are set to play Ireland in a 4-day Test match starting on July 24th before pitting against rivals Australia in home Ashes series that is scheduled to start on 1st August.

Earlier on Monday, the English speedster bagged his 950th First-Class wicket, taking his total tally to 30 wickets this season.
