Kolkata: Twin fifties from Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa and then a blistering innings from Andre Russell helped Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) post a mammoth 218/4 against Kings XI Punjab(KXIP) here at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Put into bat, KKR's explosive opening duo of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine gave the hosts a great start putting 34 runs on the board before three overs. However, the Knight Riders lost both their openers in a span of few deliveries.

Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana stitched an incredible partnership of 112 runs to help KKR set a great platform for the rest of the batters to follow.
Later, Andre Russell's blitzkrieg innings helped the hosts set a massive target of 219 for KXIP.
For the visitors, Mohammed Shami was the standout bowler even though he was expensive in his last over.
