Hyderabad: The 'Mecca of Indian cricket' Eden Gardens in Kolkata is set to make history on November 22 by hosting the first-ever day-night pink-ball Test match to be played on Indian soil.
Eight of the 12 Test-playing nations have played at least one day-night pink-ball Test match since it was first played in the year 2015. India and Bangladesh are all set to join the club when they play in the second fixture of the two-match Test series of the World Test Championship.
Eleven games have so far been played in 'Pink ball' Tests wherein all of the matches have had a winner. Australia have been the most successful team so far in pink-ball cricket wherein they have won five out of five matches.
Sri Lanka ranks second in the list with two wins out of three, all coming in away territories. It defeated Pakistan in Dubai, West Indies in Bridgetown, however, lost to Australia in Brisbane.
Meanwhile, England, South Africa and New Zealand have won one Test each.
West Indies, on the other hand, have lost all three games that they have played.
