Hyderabad: Indian skipper and top batsman Virat Kohli turned 31 on Tuesday (November 5). Hailing from Delhi, the right-handed batsman is regarded as one of the best cricketers in the world. Kohli has constantly been ranked as one of the most influential people in the world, as well as one of the world's most famous athletes.
Kohli, who made his India debut on August 18, 2008, has been often termed as 'run machine' who has born to break records.

Kohli's records as a batsman:
- Virat Kohli has scored his fastest century in just 52 balls against Australia in 2013. It is the fastest century by any Indian cricketer in ODIs.
- The 31-year-old has the most number of double centuries (7) in Tests among Indian batsmen.
- Kohli is the fastest batsman to complete 1000, 8000, 9000 and 10,000 runs in ODI cricket.
- Kohli is the fastest Indian to score 5000, 6000, 7000 runs in ODI cricket.
- He is the fastest batsman to score 1000 runs in international T20 cricket.
- Virat Kohli is the first batsman to score 20,000 international runs in a decade.
- Kohli is the only cricketer to bag all the ICC annual individual awards in one year. Following his outstanding performance in 2018, Kohli was awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, ICC Test and the ODI Player of the Year.

- He has the most doubles hundreds (7) as the Test skipper.
- Kohli is the most successful Indian Test captain, having registered the most wins (31).
- He also has the most overseas wins as India's Test skipper (13).
