  • Dhoni's biggest gift to India was not the trophies, players etc. It was belief, expectations. You started to believe any game can be won from any situation, and then it became an expectation.

Happy Birthday @msdhoni, thanks for the innumerable lessons.#HappyBirthdayDhoni

Meanwhile, cricket fanatics in India are eagerly waiting for the return of Dhoni, who took a sabbatical from cricket after the 2019 World Cup loss to New Zealand and hasn’t played a game of competitive cricket in almost a year.

Dhoni was supposed to lead Chennai Super Kings in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League, which was was slated to commence from March 29, however, the Covid-19 pandemic halted those plans. IPL has been postponed indefinitely by the BCCI and Dhoni is still believed to be keeping himself fit for the cricket extravaganza.

Also, earlier this year, Dhoni was dropped from the BCCI's list of centrally contracted players. He was in the A category, which fetches a player Rs 5 crore, until last year.
