Noida: Rashid Khan, who had led the Afghanistan cricket team in all three formats, on Monday in an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat opened-up about his camel bat and his popularity in India.
Rashid, who is expected to join Sunrisers Hyderbad for pre-Indian Premier League camps, also said that he will play with camel bat in the upcoming season of IPL. The Afghan star also said that he has so many designed bats for the upcoming season of the cash-rich league.
When asked about his fitness after making his debut in international cricket, Rashid said, "When I made my debut against Zimbabwe on 18 October 2015 and then played the World Cup, I was overweight at that time. My fitness was not at the level it should be, but when I started participating in the league and met with players. Then I realised that I have to maintain my fitness if I want to do great things."
Rashid added, "If you want to play big cricket then you have to be fit."
Talking about Hyderabadi biryani, Rashid said, "Yes, Hyderabadi Biryani is very famous. I ate when I played the first season. Then after that, I stopped eating it due to fitness reasons."
Rashid also said that he is a big fan of Shahid Afridi and Anil Kumble. Khan also revealed that he likes football and his favourite player is Cristiano Ronaldo.
