Hyderabad: Former Indian pacer bowler Chetan Sharma has expressed his thoughts on the Indian team selected for the 2019 World Cup. He compared this Indian team with the 1983 team which won the World Cup.
Chetan feels that the selectors have picked the best possible team and there are backups available for every department.
"The team that I predicted is almost same expect one change as there is no Ambati Rayudu. I feel sorry for him. He was tested on the number four position for almost a year and he was averaging 40 plus. I feel it's his bad luck," said Chetan.
He further went on to say," I really want to congratulate the selection committee that they have chosen the side possible side for the mega event."
Sharma played the 1987 Wolrd cup and took the first hat-trick in the history of the tournament.
