Manchester: England skipper Eoin Morgan scored a quickfire fifty to help his side win the match by five wickets against Pakistan in the 2nd T20I here at the Emirates Old Trafford.

Chasing down the target of 196 set by Pakistan, the host got off to a great start as Tom Banton and wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow scored over 60 runs in the powerplay. Bairstow smashed 24 balls 44 with the help of two maximums and four boundaries while Tom scored 20 runs off 16 balls.

After the powerplay, Pakistan skipper Babar Azama made a brilliant bowling change and brought in spinner Shadab Khan who took two wickets in two balls to send both England's opener back in the pavilion.

The Three Lions were in trouble but in came the skipper Morgan who scored 66 of just 33 balls and almost got the host home. He was well accompanied by Dawid Malan who also scored a fifty. Eoin got out in the 17th over. But Malan played till the last over and sealed the match for the England team.
Shadab was the pick of the bowlers for Men in Green as he took three wickets in his quota of four overs. Pacer Haris Rauf also took one wicket for the visitors.

Earlier, Pakistan skipper Babar Azama and talismanic batsman Mohammad Hafeez scored fifties to help the visitors post a decent total.
Babar who opened the Men in Green's batting with Fakhar Zaman scored 56 runs off 44 deliveries, and his partner Zaman scored 36 of just 22 balls.

The opening pair took the visitors scored board to 72 in the 9th over of the innings. England's leg spinner Adil Rashid drew the first blood as he took the wicket of left-hander Zaman.
Babar alongside Hafeez took the charge on England's bowling attack.
England captain Eoin Morgan again went to the leg spinner Rashid in search of wickets and he did not disappoint as he took another vital wicket of Pakistan captain Azam.

After that Hafeez smashed four sixes and five boundaries at a strike rate of 191. Right-hand batter Shoaib Malik came to the crease after the dismissal of captain. He could only manage to score one boundary and was sent back to the dugout at the score of 14 by Chris Jordan.

Hafeez was there on the crease till the last over before falling against Tom Curran going for a big hit. In the end, Pakistan managed to score 195 for the loss of four wickets.
For England, Jordan and Curran took one wicket each while. Rashid was the pick of the bowler as he clinched two wickets.
The third and final T20I of the series will be played on 1st of September on the same ground.
