Rajkot: High on confident from their maiden T20I victory against India in opening T20I match in New Delhi, Bangladesh came out with a good batting performance before the home side made a comeback to post 154 run target, here on Thursday at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
Bangladesh openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim gave their side a flying start as the duo added 60 runs in 7.2 overs before the right-hander was dismissed for a runout.
Liton Das, who survived a couple of chances, was not able to make much of two lifelines given to him as he departed after scoring 29 runs off 21 balls.
Soumya Sarkar walked to bat at number three and took the charge of their side along with Naim. The duo snitched 23 runs for the second wicket before Washington Sundar gave India second breakthrough by removing the left-hander.
Just two overs later Yuzendra Chahal removed new batsman Mushfiqur Rahim as the visitors middle-order collapsed. Five balls later Chahal also send Sarkar back to stands to put India on driving seat.
Skipper Mahmudullah along with Afif Hossain joined hands in 13th overs. However, the duo was not able to do much damage as Hossain was removed by left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed.
Mahmudullah smashed 30 runs off 21 balls with the help of four boundaries before he was sent back to the stands while trying to escalate Bangladesh's innings.
Aminul Islam and Mosaddek Hossain were unbeaten at 5 and 7 respectively.
