Brisbane: New Zealand opener Colin Munro couldn't complete his century as he finished his innings on 99 runs off only 61 balls including nine fours and five sixes guiding Brisbane Heat to post a mammoth 215-run target, the club's second-highest team, total in BBL history.

The 36-year-old was watching from the non-striker's end as his partner Max Bryant hammered final three deliveries for consecutive boundaries. Bryant received boos from the Brisbane crowd after his poor spirit of the game towards his teammate for not giving a strike to Munro to get to his ton.
"Munro batted beautifully, he made it look so easy out there," heat skipper Usman Khawaja said in a post-match presentation.
After electing to field first, heat openers Stars under pressure straightaway and further they were just chasing the game. After conceding the huge total, the visitors kept losing the wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 111 in 15.1 overs to leave a heavy dent in its net run rate. Hilton Cartwright top scored with 33 runs off 16 balls while skipper Glenn Maxwell and Joe Burns racked up 23 and 22 runs respectively.
It was a collective effort from the Heat bowlers, every bowler taking at least one wicket to rip apart Stars batting. Leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson was the leading wicket-taker of the match with figures 3.1 overs 23 runs three wickets while Michael Neser and Xavier Bartlett picked two wickets each. Left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson, spinner Matthew Kunheman and Paul Walter claimed a wicket each.
