Hyderabad: Kannada actor Shobha best known for her hit TV serial 'Magalu Janaki' passed away in a road accident on Wednesday.
The accident happened in the outskirts of Chitradurga town in Karnataka. Reportedly, the actor was travelling in a car which rammed into a truck.
Sources suggest that Shobha was on her way to Banashankari temple in Badami taluk in Bagalkot district when the accident happened.
Mourning the loss of the actor, her TV show director TN Seetharam posted on Facebook on Thursday morning. He said that Shobha was ever-smiling and a talented actor.
"I express my condolence on behalf of the team," he wrote in his post alongside a photo of Shobha.
Reportedly, there was a total of eight people in the car when the tyre burst. While five were declared dead, three were severely injured.
