Hyderabad: The first season of Raj & DK's The Family Man was a hit upon release in 2019. Manoj Bajpayee plays Srikant Tiwari, an NIA agent struggling to balance his super-secretive job profile with his mundane middle-class life. For the second season, South star Samantha Akkineni joins the show as the antagonist.
The new season will see Bajpayee and JK Talpade reprising their roles along with Priya Mani and Sharad Kelkar. This season will see Srikant and Sharib Hashmi taking on a bigger and deadlier mission. Going by the just-released trailer, Bajpayee has seemingly found the perfect nemesis in Samantha who plays a terrorist named Raji. The Amazon Prime show marks her debut appearance on the Hindi screen.

What remains unchanged in the second season is Srikant's struggles to strike a balance between his secretive low paying, high-pressure, high-stakes job and being a husband, a father, and a 'family man.'
Produced by D2R Films, the much-awaited show will stream on June 4 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
