Mumbai: Actor Ashiesh Roy was recently hospitalised in a critical condition as he was suffering from kidney problems. Sharing update on his health condition, the actor said that he is on the path to recovery but will soon have to stop his dialysis as he will be left with no money.

Ashiesh, who has worked in shows such as Sasural Simar Ka, Jeannie Aur Juju and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, got discharged from the hospital as he could not afford to pay the bills. In conversation with a leading daily, he said that he requires surgery, which costs Rs 1 lakh but has no fund for it.
Opening up about the course of treatment, the 55-year-old revealed that to remove the excess water from his body, a temporary catheter into his neck, which will be shifted to a different side after ten dialysis sessions.

It is causing great difficulty because it is poking like an antenna. I told the doctor to remove it but he said it can be only removed through surgery after 10 dialysis and the entire process will cost me Rs 1 lakh. My main problem this time is money. I am facing a great financial crisis," said Roy.
This is not the first time Ashiesh has suffered a health emergency. In 2019, Ashiesh had suffered a paralysis attack. He has also worked in films such as Home Delivery (2005), MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (2007), and Raja Natwarlal (2014).
