New York: Acting can be hard work, and it can be tough on your body—just ask Keanu Reeves, star of action trilogies such as 'The Matrix' and the 'John Wick' franchise. But the voice of Duke Caboom, a new toy in the upcoming Disney animated film, 'Toy Story 4,' says voice acting can be just as tough.
And while most voice work is done individually, veteran 'Toy Story' actors Tom Hanks and Annie Potts, who've both appeared in each film, got the chance to record together for the first time ever in the franchise.
Tim Allen, who's also been a cast member since the first film, wished he had that same opportunity. "It takes a lot out of you to work by yourself. You're in a room and—you get energy from other actors and you have no energy here," said the voice of Buzz Lightyear.
'Toy Story 4' welcomes both veteran and new voices, including Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Tony Hale as Forky, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as Ducky and Bunny, Madeleine McGraw as Bonnie, Christina Hendricks as Gabby Gabby, Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom, Ally Maki as Giggle McDimples and Joan Cusack as Jessie.
'Toy Story 4' hit theaters on June 21.
