Washington: Amid growing coronavirus concerns, Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively has donated USD 400,000 to New York hospitals to aid the battle against the pandemic.
According to news reports, Reynolds and Lively, made personal USD 100K donations to NYU Hospital, Mount Sinai, Northern Westchester and Elmhurst.
As the infection rate continues to rise the couple also encouraged people across America to help their local hospitals, healthcare workers and communities during this difficult time.
It is their second major donation as earlier this month Ryan and Blake donated USD 1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

Apart from that, pop sensation Rihanna has announced an emergency donation of $5 million (around Rs 37.8 crore), via her non-profit organisation The Clara Lionel Foundation, towards the efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The charity announced that the singer's education and emergency organisation will aid associations such as The World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, the International Rescue Committee, Direct Relief, Feeding America and Partners in Health, according to a news report.
Meanwhile, American media personality Kylie Jenner has also donated 1 million USD. Her contribution will be used to buy face shields and masks for first responders.
