Los Angeles: Actor Keira Knightley used a body double for her film The Aftermath because she refused to perform nude scenes.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star explains her contract allows her to have a body double to take her place if nudity is involved and that she is also permitted to approve any scenes where her stand-in is naked.
"I don't do any nudity," she told.
"I had a body double in my last movie ('The Aftermath'), but I got to pick the body double and then I got the final approval over the sex scenes - that's how it works in my clause."
"I was outside having a cup of tea and a scone, while those scenes were shot because I didn't have to be naked," she added.
Keira became a mother in May of 2015 when she gave birth to her daughter Edie. After giving birth, Knightley made the conscious decision to no longer do nude scenes although she's okay if they appear in the movie. She just doesn’t want it to be her actual body in them.
Earlier she felt that it isn’t a matter of having any issues with her post-baby body. "I have been comfortable earlier with more nudity than I am now. I have had a kid, I am in my 30s, I am very happy with my body,” the actress revealed. But I don’t feel I need to get it out that much any more."
Keira is best known for her roles in The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise series. She has also appeared in numerous other well known titles, including Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, The Imitation Game and Anna Karenina.
