Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer McMafia bagged the International Emmy Award beating several other series. Here's the glimpse from the mega gala.

New York: The UK series McMafia featuring the Gangs of Wasseypur actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui came out triumphant at the International Emmy Awards on Monday, taking home the award for best drama series.

The crime series stars James Norton as the British-raised son of a Russian mobster living in London whose father is trying to escape organized crime.

It's inspired by a book of the same name by journalist Misha Glenny.

The Brazilian series 'The Last Hangover' was crowned best comedy. The biblical spoof stars comedian Fabio Porchat and airs on Netflix.

Haluk Bilginer of Turkey was named best actor for his work in Sahsiyet. Hungarian actress Marina Gera of Orok Tel received the award for best actress.

The non-scripted entertainment program award went to the UK series The Real Full Monty: Ladies' Night and ITV program about celebrities taking part in a striptease to raise money for cancer organizations.
Safe Harbor, of Australia, won the best mini-series or TV movie Emmy award.

Falco, a crime drama, won the non-English language U.S. primetime program.

The Netherlands won both best documentary for "Bellingcat - Truth in a Post-Truth World" and the arts programming award for "Dance or Die," about Syrian ballet dancer Ahmad Joudeh.

Colombia's La Reina del Flow was named best telenovela.

Best short-form series went to Hack the City of Brazil.

Game of Thrones showrunners were presented with the Founders Award and CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour scooped up the International Emmy Directorate Award.
