In addition to dropping the trailer on Sunday (19 JULY), Parkwood and Disney Plus announced that Black is King will be available on much of the African continent.

The new visual album reimagines the lessons from The Lion King for "today's young kings and queens in search of their own crowns."

The trailer reveals that among the guest stars on the film include Beyonce's husband and rapper JAY-Z, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, supermodel Naomi Campbell and recording artists Pharrell Williams and Kelly Rowland.
