Washington: Madame Tussauds on Thursday has unveiled the wax figurine of the American singer Beyonce in London.

Standing amid the British Royals, the effigy of the Lemonade hitmaker has been placed at the spot of Queen Elizabeth II for a day.

Inspired by Beyonce's 2019 Coachella outfit, the statue's styling was perfected with a yellow Balmain hoodie with a pair of denim shorts and fringy knee-length boots.

Madame Tussauds London in its official Instagram handle shared the pictures of the musical star and wrote: "Take your throne, Queen Bey."

Another post made on its Instagram handle read: "It's time to bow down to THE QUEEN."

On Friday, Beyonce's statue is expected to be replaced with the Queen's as she will join the figures of her contemporaries including Ed Sheeran, Adele, Rihanna.

In a recent interview with a news portal, Steve Davies, general manager at Madame Tussauds London said: "Beyonce is a living legend, rightly crowned Queen Bey by her legions of fans and industry insiders. If anyone is fitting of a claim to The Queen's spot in our attraction for the very first time, it's Beyonce."

He further clarified: "HRH Queen Elizabeth II is famous for her mischievous sense of humour and we think a wry smile will cross her face when she sees that music royalty has temporarily filled her shoes."

The statue is surrounded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Prince Philip to the right while Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Charles and Camila Parker Bowles are seen standing to her left.
