London: Angelina Jolie, is reprising her role as the iconic wicked witch from the 2014 fantasy film Maleficent in fantasy sequel, says her kids find nothing "cool" about her.

To millions around the world, she's a superstar, Hollywood A-lister, unspeakably glamorous and brilliantly talented. But to her kids, Angelina Jolie is just plain old mom.

"They just find me funny. There's nothing about me that's cool," laughed the actress at the London premiere of the fantasy sequel, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil on October 9.

"They make fun of me. You know, it's mom. Mom's weird."

Jolie's return as Disney's horn-headed fairy follows the 2014 box office smash, Maleficent.

That movie told the story of Disney's most notorious villain and the events that drove her to curse baby Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) to eternal sleep - before eventually learning to love the young girl.

Now, in the latest chapter of the wicked tale, Maleficent is forced to make new alliances as she struggles to protect the moors and its magical creatures from a deadly new threat.

Directed by Joachim Ronning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), the movie also sees the return of Fanning, Sam Riley and Lesley Manville, with Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein and Chiwetel Ejiofor joining the cast as new characters.

"I love playing (Maleficent) added Jolie. "She's a little unhinged and she's completely free. And you know, good-spirted, actually, so she's fun."

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil releases in India on October 18, 2019.
