Zaira's social media account hacked? Here's the truth

Mumbai: Drawing an end to all speculations, actress Zairam Wasim's manager announced on Monday that the actress' social media account was not hacked. The post made on quitting Bollywood, the other day, was consciously shared by her.

Clarifying the situation, the 'Secret Superstar' actor tweeted: "This to clarify that none of my social media accounts were or are hacked and are being handled by me personally. Kindly refrain from believing or sharing claims that state otherwise! Thanks."

Zaira had earlier said that her association with the industry and her current line of work was silently and unconsciously making her transition "out of imaan."

Tuhin Mishra, Zaira's manager, claimed that the reports related to the actress' social media account being hacked were false.

In a recent interview, Mishra stated: "No, we never said that. The post has been put up by Zaira, that's it. We have never said anything like that."

On Sunday, the actress wrote a long note sharing the details of the disassociation with her career in Bollywood.

She wrote: "I continued to put myself in a vulnerable position where it was always so easy to succumb to the environment that damaged my peace, imaan and my relationship with Allah."

Soon after the post went viral, users on Facebook and Twitter were divided. While some supported her choice, others questioned her decision.

Omar Abdullah also took a stand for the 'Dangal' actress.
