Mumbai: After piquing fans interest with the intriguing poster, the makers of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Mission Mangal' has released the much-anticipated teaser on Tuesday.
Akshay shared the teaser on his Instagram with the caption, "Ek Desh. Ek Sapna. Ek Ithihaas. The true story of India’s #SpaceMission to Mars is here. #MissionMangalTeaser out now!"

The video opens with Akshay introducing himself as scientist Rakesh Dhawan commanding his teammates to initiate the launch of India's first satellite to Mars.
The teaser also features Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menon, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi.

The video ends with an aesthetic scene of the satellite launch with 'Sky is not the limit' written at the backdrop. It also has several awe-inspiring moments with some great visual effects.
Helmed by Jagan Shakti, 'Mission Mangal' is co-produced by 'PadMan' director R Balki. The film is based on a true story of India's mission to Mars. It is about ordinary people achieving the extraordinary.
The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on August 15 this year. It will lock horns with John Abraham starrer 'Batla House' and Prabhas starrer 'Saaho' at the box office.
