Mumbai: Actor Kangana Ranaut recalled a horrific phase of her life from a time she was struggling to get into Bollywood. The Judgementall Hai Kya actor stated that a "character actor," who declared himself as "self-appointed mentor" to the 33-year-old star, used to take her to parties and intoxicate her with spiked drinks.
Looking back at her initial days in Mumbai, Kangana shared that the same character actor befriended her, impressed the woman she was living with and eventually started living with them.
However, in a sudden twist of events, things changed. "He fought with the aunty and asked her to leave. But he kept my belongings in the home and locked me. And whatever I would do, his staff would straightaway give updates to him. It felt almost like a house arrest," Kangana said.
"He took me to parties and once I felt an intoxication, that led to intimacy between us. Then I realised that it was not done willingly, but my drink had been spiked. And after that incident, within a week, he became my self-appointed husband. And if I tell him, 'you are not my boyfriend', he'd charge at me with slippers to hit me," she added.
The Panga actor was only 16 when she left Manali and arrived in Mumbai after winning a competition in Chandigarh.
She recounted how the character actor would take her to meetings with people from Dubai, make her sit amid elderly men and leave the meeting himself. "I started fearing that they would supply me to Dubai," she said.

"When I got the break, he was agitated. He started telling me after drinking that he never expected that I will get a break so soon. After that, he started sedating me with injections, so that I am not able to go to shoots. I told my director Anurag Basu about it. If he would hit me and I’d have bruises, Anurag would make me stay at his office for many nights, to protect me," told Kangana, who made her Bollywood debut with the 2006 film Gangster.
According to a news report, Kangana feels that Sushant was probably drugged in order to create a 'controversy' around his murder and to break his mind.
Sushant did not come from a family that would consume hard drugs like LSD, she said, further claiming that Rhea might have arranged marijuana from abroad for the late actor since it is legal in some countries.
After over two months of Sushant's tragic death, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has pitched in to probe the drug syndicate connection in the case.
