Being the son of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, life as an actor was no cakewalk for Abhishek as he had to go through extra scrutiny for his privileged background. In the initial years, he too did not push the boundary and growing beyond the shadow of his immensely celebrated father is still an unnerving task for the actor. But now after two decades in the industry, Abhishek is choosing his projects more cautiously.
While promoting his latest release The Big Bull, Abhishek in a latest interview has revealed that he even contemplated giving up acting and it was his father who advised him otherwise.

The Guru actor also revealed that it was his father's faith in him that made him believe in himself when the audience was rejecting everything that he attempted in cinema. Amitabh told his son, "I never brought you up to be quitter. Every morning you have to wake up and fight for your place under the sun. As an actor, you are improving with every film."
Meanwhile, Abhishek recently wrapped up shooting for the Agra schedule of his upcoming film Dasvi. Directed by Tushar Jalota, the film also stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur.
