Hyderabad: The teaser of upcoming anthology Navarasa created ripples on social media when dropped earlier this month on Netflix India's official YouTube channel. The date announcement video gave a glimpse of leading actors enacting nine different emotions in high-speed monochrome shots. Piquing the interest of movie-buffs, the makers have now dropped a behind-the-scenes video of the Narasa teaser.
Filmmakers Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan have united to present the Tamil anthology film. Navarasa will premiere on Netflix across 190 countries. The upcoming anthology showcases nine different emotions -- of love, laughter, anger, sorrow, courage, fear, disgust, surprise and peace.

Directors Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, Karthick Naren, KV Anand, Ponram, Rathindran Prasad and Halitha Shameem are on board to bring their distinctive perspective on each rasa. The short films will feature over 40 cast members and several hundred creative and film technicians. The cast and crew involved in the project have offered their services pro bono, with the objective of supporting the COVID-hit Tamil film industry.
Produced by Madras Talkies and Qube Cinema Technologies, Navarasa will premiere on August 6.
