Lucknow: Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani is set to host the 11th season of the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol. In a recent interaction with ETV Bharat, Vishal spoke about his singing career, economic recession, his disbelief in God and more.

Vishal who was in Lucknow for Indian Idol 11 spoke about his initial journey as an aspiring singer and his Pentagram band which rose him to fame.

The singer said that his rock band Pentagram which was founded in IIT Kanpur in 1995, marked the beginning of his singing career.

On the stage of Indian Idol, Vishal shared that he is an atheist. When asked the reason for his disbelief in God, the singer said that as he grew up and came to more about science and logic, he had a change of mind. Moreover, his supreme belief in the power of hard-work drifted him towards atheism.

As the nation is coping with the economic recession, Vishal was asked if he thinks it is affecting the singing industry or Bollywood in any way.

The singer said that since their work is more artistic and less economical, there is no chance of facing a recession in the field of music as it stays with you in every situation.
