Hyderabad: The massive fallout between actor Kartik Aaryan and filmmaker Karan Johar sent shockwaves through tinselville. Since both parties are not entertaining repeated requests from media to share their side of stories, various theories based on hearsay have been doing rounds of the webloids.

While earlier reports hinted that it was Kartik's unprofessional behavior that led to his ousting from the film, the latest reports revealed that there is more to the Dosatana 2 fiasco than what meets the eyes.
According to reports, Karitk signed Dostana 2 in 2019 for a minimal amount of Rs. 2-3 crores. But, by the time film went on floors, his market value soared up to Rs. 10 crores plus. The actor reportedly requested Karan to hike his acting fees but the filmmaker believed it was unprofessional of Kartik to renegotiate the remuneration when the film was already on floors. KJo, however, offered another film MR. Lele to compensate Kartik to which the actor agreed.

Things between Kartik and Karan went ugly when the actor got replaced by Vicky Kaushal in the film without being informed. This came as another shock to Kartik who was already upset with Dharma Productions as they gave Shashank Khaitan's Yoddha to Shahid Kapoor and never approached him even after Shahid quit the film.

Upset with Dharma Productions, Kartik apparently shifted his focus on Dhamaka and kept the Dostana 2 team waiting for his dates which upset KJo. After Mr. Lele, Karan also promised Kartik another film based on cricket directed by Sharan Sharma. But, the actor put a condition that he will return to Dosatan 2 sets only after the agreement for Sharan's film is signed. While Kartik felt he was horribly underpaid for the job and betrayed, KJo thought that the arm-twisting tactic of the actor highly unprofessional and that led to a big fallout between the two.
