Vikas Bahl

Mumbai: Vikas Bahl who was accused of sexual harassment by a woman earlier last year in the heat of #MeToo wave had to abstain from his directorial credit in 'Super 30'. However, recently he was acquitted from the charges following the clean-chit given by the Internal Complaints Committee.

According to a leading publication, the ICC cleared Bahl without following the actual procedures. Moreover, the committee which inquired into the allegations on the filmmaker's quest is not supposed to do the same on the plea of a culprit as per Indian laws.

Reportedly, the ICC followed the hasty procedure only to acquit Bahl from the charges levelled against him while protecting the investors.

Vikas who was accused of harassing a woman at the workplace was freed from the charges without proper investigation. The ICC did not even interview witnesses in favour of the woman (victim).

Moreover, ICC reached out to Chaitali Parmar, Madhu Mantena and Anirrudha Nag who have been Bahl's partner for years.

Earlier, it was reported that Vikas would not be credited as the director of 'Super 30'. However, Reliance Entertainment, which held a 50% stake in Phantom Films, held an internal inquiry that cleared the filmmaker of all the charges giving him a clean chit.
