Mumbai: Actor Vicky Kaushal became a household name after his stellar performance as Kamli in 'Sanju'. As the movie completes one year, Vicky reminisced the success of the film thanking fans for all their love.
Vicky posted a picture from 'Sanju' on his Instagram story captioning it, "1 year. The first time I heard people calling me the name of the character. Thank you for all the love. It means a lot to me. 'Sanju'."
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, 'Sanju', which completed a year on Saturday, was a biopic based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt.
'Sanju' which featured Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay traces the highs and lows during various phases of the latter's life. Vicky played the role of Sanju's best friend Kamli.

The massive success of 'Sanju' made Vicky an overnight star. He went on to feature in films like 'Manmarziyaan' and 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'.
Vicky will be seen next in the horror movie 'Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship' and Shoojit Sircar's directorial 'Sardar Udham Singh'.
Meanwhile, Vicky also announced his new project where he will be playing Sam Manekshaw - the first Field Marshal of India.
The yet-to-be-titled film will be helmed by Meghna Gulzar. However, further details are kept under tight wraps.
