Hyderabad: Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal and gorgeous actor Katrina Kaif's engagement rumours did rounds of the webloids before the latter jetted off to Russia with Salman Khan for the shooting of upcoming film Tiger 3. While the rumoured couple is keeping their hush-hush romance under the wraps, Vicky's younger brother Sunny Kaushal has revealed how their parents reacted to the engagement rumours.
Sunny, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Shiddat, has confirmed that Vicky and Katrina's engagement rumours weren't true. Sunny has also revealed how their parents reacted to Vicky-Katrina's engagement reports. Speaking to a webloid, Sunny said that their parents take the rumours with a pinch of salt and when they confronted Vicky the family had a good laugh together.
When asked about whether Vicky and Katrina's engagement rumours had any truth to it, Sunny said, "I remember that Vicky had gone to the gym in the morning when the rumours started coming. So, when he returned home, mom and dad funnily asked him, 'Arre yaar, teri engagement ho gayi, mithai to khila de'. And then Vicky told them, 'Jitni asli engagement hui hai, utni asli mithai bhi kha lo'. We don’t know where it all came from, but we all were laughing so hard because of that".

Vicky and Katrina's dating rumours gathered momentum after actor Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor confirmed on a talk show that the two are in a relationship. On the show, Harsh Varrdhan was reportedly quizzed about which Bollywood relationship rumour he believes to be true, to which the actor allegedly replied: "Vicky and Katrina are together, that's true... Am I going to get in trouble for saying this? I don't know. I think they're quite open about it."
On the work front, Katrina's next release is Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar. She also has the horror-comedy Phone Bhoot lined up. It has been directed by Gurmmeet Singh and also features Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The actor has Sriram Raghavan's untitled next with Vijay Sethupati. Vicky will feature in upcoming films like Shashank Khaitan's Mr Lele, Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham Singh and Meghna Gulzar's Sam Bahadur.
