Mumbai: US President Donald Trump in his recent speech at a cricket stadium stated that the entertainment sector in India sets an example to the world in terms of the number of contributions that the country has made in creativity.
During his speech, the President also mentioned two of the iconic movies of Bollywood namely Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sholay.
Addressing to a packed stadium in Ahmedabad, Trump said: "All over the planet, people take great joy in scenes of bhangra, music, dance, romance and drama... and classic Indian films like DDLJ and Sholay... You cheer on great cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli."
He further added: "This is the country that produces nearly 2,000 movies a year from the hub of genius and creativity known as Bollywood."
His speech at one of the world's largest stadium drew loud cheers from the audience.

In other news, the former US President Barack Obama also borrowed a dialogue from 1995 release DDLJ, during his visit in India in 2015.
"Senorita, bade bade deshon mein... you know what I mean," he said and the audience cheered for him at the stadium.
Meanwhile, in the Namaste Trump event, the US President touched upon several policies of the present government which is led by PM Narendra Modi.
After landing in Ahmedabad, Trump and his wife Melania along with their family visited Sabarmati Ashram. They have reportedly gone to Agra to see one of the seven wonders - the Taj Mahal.
