Mumbai: Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala's production company on Friday announced that the banner is turning Heropanti into a franchise and the star of the first film, Tiger Shroff, will return for the new movie.
The film will be helmed by director-choreographer Ahmed Khan.
The production house made the announcement on Twitter. "From the house of Nadiadwala Grandson, here comes another franchise Collision symbol. Presenting #SajidNadiadwala's #Heropanti2. Top hat starring @iTIGERSHROFF directed by @khan_ahmedasas releasing on 16th July 2021," the post read.
The makers also shared Tiger's first look from the film.

Heropanti, which released in 2014, marked the Bollywood debut of Tiger and Kriti Sanon. Sabbir Khan directed the movie.
Meanwhile, Tiger is awaiting the release of Baaghi 3 which is also bankrolled by Sajid under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Details related to the third installment are still under wraps. Directed by Ahmed, the third installment of Baaghi brings back Tiger in a starring role. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Ankita Lokhande and Riteish Deshmukh.
Tiger has had a successful 2019, with his action drama War emerging as Bollywood's biggest blockbuster of the year.
Heropanti 2 will hit the big screens on July 16, 2021.
