Hyderabad: The trailer of Netflix's upcoming flick The White Tiger is gathering positive chatter on social media. The intriguing trailer is being lauded on social media platforms for leading man Adarsh Gourav's effortless act and how makers allowed him to steal the show while Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao are around.
The White Tiger is based on Aravind Adiga's Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name, the film follows the extraordinary journey of a self-made man from being a tea-shop worker in a village to a successful entrepreneur in a big city.
Netflix dropped a two and half minutes long trailer of The White Tiger trailer on Monday and the promotional video has managed to create a positive buzz around the film. The netizens are heaping praise on Adarsh for making his presence felt in the film which features starts as big as PeeCee and Rajkummar.

The early response Adarsh has garnered upon the trailer's release is not surprising as PeeCee had made it clear that he is a talent to watch out for in the film. "This is a story about a family and the plight of one man -- Balram Halwai played by Adarsh Gourav, one of the most talented newcomers I've ever worked with, and one of the most remarkable performances I've seen in a long time," Priyanka has written on Instagram while sharing film's first look.
Sharing details about the story, Chopra wrote, "Balram's rise from a poor villager to successful entrepreneur in modern India showcases how hunger and the lack of opportunity can build and drive a human being's animal instinct of survival."
The White Tiger is helmed by American-Iranian director Ramin Bahrani.
