Mumbai: After the humongous success of KGF: Chapter 1, an OTT giant has offered a whopping of Rs 55 crore to the makers of the KGF franchise for its digital rights.
The film starring Yash in the lead became the highest grosser in 2018. The film is reportedly the first Kannada film in the past 80 years that has sent down waves across the nation.
The film which saw a multilingual release smashed the box office in terms of its commercial success.
After the mass popularity of the first installment, a demand seeking the film's screening on television and on online platforms increased significantly.

Eventually, the period action thriller became a huge hit on digital platforms too.
The much-awaited KGF: Chapter 2 is all set to release in multiple vernacular languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

The film will feature Bollywood big shots such as Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in lead roles.
While Sanjay Dutt essays Adheera the dreaded don, Raveena Tandon plays the role of a cop Ramika Sen.
Meanwhile, the makers announced KGF: Chapter 2 will release on October 23, 2020, which seems to be a bit difficult considering the present lockdown conditions.
Sharing his excitement of sharing screen space with Raveena Tandon, Yash welcomed the actor on-board.
He took to Instagram and wrote: "Ramika Sen may not be welcome to Rocky’s territory.. but Raveena ma’am is definitely more than welcome to Yash’s hometown! It’s a pleasure having you onboard ma’am !! Let’s have a blast."
