Mumbai: The makers of Syeraa Narsimha Reddy dropped the much-awaited trailer on Wednesday. Starring Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi in the titular role, the period drama celebrates the unsung warriors who wrote history with their blood.
Syeraa Narasimha Reddy is based on the epic story of Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who led a revolt against the British. The period-drama is set 10 years before India's first war of independence, which took place in 1857.
The epic drama will see two of the biggest stars of Tollywood (Chiranjeevi) and Bollywood (Amitabh Bachchan) coming together for the first time onscreen.

Chiranjeevi plays Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the fearless inspiration behind India's first-ever rebellion against the British. Big B portrays Gosaayi Venkanna, the guiding force and guru behind Narasimha Reddy's freedom struggle.
The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi as Narasimha Reddy's trusted aid Raaja Pandi, the ferocious fighter in the period drama. Nayanthara features as Narasimha Reddy's wife Siddhamma, Tamannaah Bhatia as Lakshmi and Kichcha Sudeep plays Avuku Raju, introduced as the ambitious leader and nemesis of Narasimha Reddy.
Syeraa Narasimha Reddy, reportedly made on a huge budget of Rs 150 crores also stars Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu, Huma Qureshi and Ravi Kishan in supporting roles.
Bankrolled by Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan, the action-drama is helmed by Surender Reddy. It will hit the big screens on October 2.
