Mumbai: After several Bollywood actors demanded justice for Rhea Chakraborty by sharing a strong message against patriarchy, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap reacted to the complaints of why the industry was quite regarding Sushant Singh Rajput's investigation and why they have decided to speak up now.
Kashyap on Wednesday shared his WhatsApp chats with Sushant's manager from May. In the chats, which are from three weeks before Sushant'sd eath and the day Sushant was found hanging at his Mumbai home, Anurag can be seen telling Sushant's manager why he didn't want to work with him.
Sharing the chat, Anurag wrote he didn’t want to work with Sushant for his own reasons.
Rajput's manager approached Kashyap on May 22 pitching Sushant for a film. He wrote, "I know you don't like people pitching actors. I feel I can take that chance with you. Please keep Sushant Singh Rajput in mind if you feel he fits in anywhere with you. As an audience, I'd love to see you two create something great (sic)."
To which, Anurag responds, "He is too problematic man. I have known him from before he started out, and got him his first film Kai Po Che (sic)."
Anurag also shared how he walked out of a film because Sushant wanted to work with him. The duo was all set to work on a project together but the film had to be shelved as the Dil Bechara actor "ghosted" Kashyap.

In another tweet, the filmmaker has also reacted to the complaints of why the film industry was quite regarding Sushant's investigation and is vocal on demanding justice for Rhea.
Kashyap took to Twitter and posted a statement that read, "Everybody baying for Rhea's blood, asking questions like how did you know she didn't do this or that to him? How do you (know) what was he going through? Are (we) forgetting that the whole industry has actually known and seen and interacted with SSR over last 9-10 years. Yes we know better."

And that is also the reason the whole industry has been quiet so far out of respect for him . And now it is that very knowledge of SSR that has again brought everyone out here together to stand in solidarity for Rhea because it’s gone too far. Republic doesn’t inform our opinion.

The Gangs of Wasseypur director added, "And that is also the reason the whole industry has been quiet so far out of respect for him. Earlier on Tuesday, briefly after Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Chakraborty in a drug case linked to the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, several Bollywood personalities demanded justice for Rhea by posting a quote on smashing the "patriarchy" and a hashtag #JusticeForRhea.
Celebrities like Vidya Balan, Shibani Dandekar, Anurag Kashyap and others took to social media to share a quote that was written on the T-shirt that Rhea had worn on Tuesday, which happened to be her third day of interrogation with the bureau.
