Mumbai: Shweta Singh Kirti, sister of Sushant Singh Rajput, has demanded an explanation from AIIMS forensic chief Dr Sudhir Gupta in the alleged 'U-turn' in connection with its report to the CBI which has "ruled out murder" in late actor's death case.
Shweta took to her verified Instagram handle to share a screenshot of a news channel report questioning AIIMS forensic chief's change in stance regarding SSR death probe. "This kind of U-Turn must be explained!! WHY?? #SushantConspiracyExposed #SushantAIIMSTape," wrote Shweta alongside the picture.
This comes after a news channel released an audiotape in which Dr Gupta is heard raising several questions on the Cooper Hospital's report and had expressed concern over how the Mumbai Police did not protect the crime scene.
The AIIMS forensic panel under Dr Gupta was formed at the request of the CBI in August to assist in giving medico-legal opinion in connection with the death of the late actor.

According to AIIMS sources, the forensic team in its report has hinted the death of Sushant as suicide, thus rejecting the claims of 'poisoning' and 'strangling' made by the actor's family and their lawyer.
Sushant was found dead on June 14 in the Mont Blanc Apartment in Bandra in Mumbai. His family members raised suspicion of Sushant having been murdered.
Besides the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are probing the money laundering charge and drugs angle respectively. NCB has arrested Rhea, Showik, Miranda, Sawant while Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh were also questioned in connection with the drug case.
