Patna: Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey expressed his displeasure over BMC's stand on not freeing IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from quarantine. Pandey said it is wrong on BMC's part even when the SC has pulled up the Maharashtra government for quarantining Tiwari.
"It is wrong. After SC questioning quarantining of Vinya Tiwari in Mumbai, I was hoping that he will be exempted but there was no positive reply from BMC," said Pandey.
"Tiwari has still not be exempted from quarantine, it is like house arrest. We 'll decide what action to take after consultation with the advocate general. Going to the court is also an option," Pandey further reiterated.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation refused to free Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from quarantine, despite a letter from the Patna Inspector General requesting them to free him.
IPS officer Vinay Tiwari, who has been assigned with heading the probe into late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case was quarantined by the BMC soon after his arrival in Mumbai on Sunday.
Sushant was found hanging at his Mumbai residence on June 14 this year. On Wednesday morning, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told Supreme Court that the Union of India has in principle accepted the recommendation by Bihar government to order a CBI inquiry into the case.
