Mumbai: After several successful Hindi film remakes, directors are eyeing on Shah Rukh Khan's 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa' to remake in Bollywood.

In several interviews, SRK has admitted that the 1994 box office hit has been one of his favourite films. The movie directed by Kundan Shah has not just amused fans but has also earned a lot of appreciations alike from all segments of audiences.

If a news source is to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan holds exclusive rights to Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and in the last few months, several filmmakers have approached the production house to buy the rights. It is also said that a lot of them wanted to remake the cult classic.

A source close to King Khan has disclosed: "SRK and his team might make Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa again for the web. There are also talks about making a digital series on the same plotline as the movie. A popular OTT platform has also shown a keen interest in the same. Shah Rukh won't star in it and it's expected to have a younger cast."

Talking more on the development of the project, the source also revealed: "Although discussions are on, nothing has been locked right now. The production house is still contemplating what to do but they are also interested in exploring the space for sure."

Speculations are going strong as Red Chillies Entertainment has two back to back productions under its banner for the digital platform. But, no such official news related to whether 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na' is up next, has been made public yet.
