Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan released a video to urge fans to do their bit by staying indoors and following precautionary measures.

SRK, who has 39.9 mn followers on Twitter, uploaded a video in which he is talking about the care and precautions all must take. The superstar captioned the video with, "We must all do our bit and support the officials doing so much for us. #WarAgainstVirus (sic)."

Shah Rukh Khan begins the video by talking about how coronavirus has created havoc worldwide. He also informed that Mumbai is ready to fight the pandemic and city hospitals like Kasturba Hospital, among others, are fully prepared to handle the situation.

While the officials are performing their duties, SRK said, as citizens, we have to be a little more responsible and help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The 54-year-old actor also uploaded another video endorsing the practice of staying indoors. He shared in the video; "I appeal to all the people to avoid public places, and to avoid travelling in trains and buses, until absolutely necessary. The actor warned against the outbreak saying" The next 10 to 15 days are extremely crucial.

On a related note, several top stars of the industry, including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit and Ranveer Singh have come together for a special video to spread awareness about the novel coronavirus.

The one minute fifty second long video, an initiative by Rohit Shetty Picturez in collaboration with Maharashtra government, features actors appealing to citizen to tread with caution and safety amid the pandemic.
