Chennai: SP Balasubrahmanyam's son SP Charam has denied the rumours stating that his father has tested negative for COVID-19.

"Hello everyone. I usually post dad's health updates after I have a discussion with the medical team. But, unfortunately, I am forced to put up the post in the morning. I am the only one who gets the information about dad, all updates come to me first and only then I post it to media. Today, unfortunately, there is a rumour going around that dad has tested negative of coronavirus. Regardless of whether it is COVID negative or positive, the status is still the same," said Charan.

Charan went on to add: "Clinically, he is in ECMO support, on the ventilator and he is stable, fortunately. And we are hoping that his stability will help recover his lungs as early as possible. Please kindly refrain from the rumours mongering."
