Chennai: Veteran actor Usha Rani has passed away early on Sunday morning at a private hospital here. She was 66.
The actor was admitted to a private hospital on June 16th due to kidney-related problems. She breathed her last around 2 am.
Usha Rani had acted in more than 200 films including Pattikaattu Ponnaiya, Arangetram, Ennai Pol Oruvan and several other Malayalam films.
She was introduced in the film industry as a child actor at the tender age of 13.

The late actor had also shared screen space with famous actors like Shivaji Ganesan, MGR, Jayashankar, Kamal Hassan and Sridevi.
Usha Rani was married to acclaimed director Shankar Nair and has a son named Vishnu.
As per reports, her funeral is set to take place on Monday.
