Mumbai: Singer Mika Singh has joined the list of celebrities who have come out in support of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh who has locked horns with Kangana Ranaut over farmer's protest.

In last September, Mika had extended his support to Kangana when BMC demolished her office despite such procedure was banned amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But it seems that the 'Mauja hi mauja' singer now regrets his kind gesture.

Mika has jumped into the ongoing war of words between Diljit and Kangana. The singer took to his Twitter account to slam the Manikarnika actor. "I used to have immense respect for @Kanganateam , I even tweeted in support when her office was demolished. I now think I was wrong, Kangana being a woman you should show the old lady some respect. If you have any etiquette then apologise. Shame on you…", reads his tweet.

Besides Mika, Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk, Gippy Garewal and Ranjit Bawa too have extended their support to Diljit for standing up to Kangana. The Highway actor is also getting backed by few Bollywood celebrities like Swara Bhasker, Kubbra Sait and Hansal Mehta who are heaping praise on Dosanjh for calling out Ranaut for her distasteful comments on farmer protests.

The Twitter war between Diljit and Kangana erupted when he criticised the Panga actor for misidentifying an elderly Sikh woman, who had joined the farmers' protest, as Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh. He also shared a video of the elderly lady in question, revealing that she was Mahinder Kaur. Realising her blunder, Kangana soon deleted her post but didn't refrain from hitting back, calling Diljit filmmaker Karan Johar's pet.

The spat since then has been getting uglier as both are unleashing most striking attacks on each other. For Kangana, it is not new to indulge in Twitter war but the way Diljit has retorted has surprised many given his happy-go-lucky persona.
