Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan has said that she has the biggest support system in her mother Amrita Singh who was the popular leading ladies in Bollywood during the 1980's.
Sara has always admitted that her mother holds a special place in her life though she loves her father Saif Ali Khan immensely. In her latest interview, Ms. Pataudi has said that whatever she does, she seeks her mom's advice whether it’s about the films or about her styling.
Sara Ali Khan reveals mom Amrita Singh is her biggest support system "Everything I do comes from my mother, whether it’s styling or films. I bounce everything to her, but the irony of that statement is she has told me ‘listen as your mother, I can tell you what I think, but ultimately the only thing you have to rely on is conviction. If you don’t feel it, don’t do it, whether it’s the colour of your nail paint, the shot you are giving or films. All have to come from an honest space, and that’s the mantra to life, I feel," said Sara to a daily.

Being honest is the one quality that Sara seems to have imbibed from her mother. Earlier Sara's grandmother Sharmila Tagore had also said that she has immense poise for someone so young and when she was asked by a newswire about where does the self confidence come from, the Coolie No 1 actor had replied, "I guess it comes from being honest. And that's the only way I can be. Let those who can lie convincingly do it. I can't! I start fumbling the minute I lie. Staying true to myself suits me just fine."
Sara Ali Khan with father Saif Ali Khan In a throwback interview, Sara was once asked whether she felt lacuna since she is raised mostly by her mother and not having her father around, to which the Simmba star had replied,"I was more than okay with that arrangement. I think having two happy parents in different homes is much more preferable than two unhappy parents in the same home. I think I am the way that I am because my mother didn't let me feel any kind deprivation for even a second. I have a very hands-on mother. Once my brother and I were born, she did nothing but look after us."
Sara, who was recently seen in the digitally released film Coolie No. 1 along with actor Varun Dhawan, has started shooting for her next Atrangi Re. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Nimrat Kaur. It is directed by filmmaker Aanand L. Rai.
