Jodhpur: The District and Sessions Court, Jodhpur on Monday has ordered Salman Khan to appear before the court during the next hearing on the deer hunt case and Arms Act case.
The matter will be next heard on September 28.
A case of Arms Act was registered against Salman Khan, on which the CJM Rural Court acquitted the superstar. The state government had filed an appeal in the District Court Jodhpur District against the decision of the CJM Rural Court.
An appeal on behalf of Salman was also filed in the District and Sessions Court, Jodhpur.
During the trial, the District and Sessions Judge, Jodhpur Rural, Rajendra Kaswal sought a reason for the absence of the superstar. To which Salman's advocate Hastimal Saraswat said that he was not present due to COVID-19 situation.

During the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hai in Jodhpur in October 1998, Salman Khan was accused of hunting two black deer in the outskirts of Kankani village adjoining Jodhpur city.
He was convicted by the court after the hearing in the case and was then sentenced to five years. Co-actors Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were acquitted in the case. Salman, who was sent to jail after the court's orders, is currently out on bail.
