While the makers are tight-lipped about the project, several media reports suggest that Hrithik Roshan too will join the force as Kabir from his 2019 release War. Salman and Hrithik's guest appearances in Pathan are in a bid to expand the RAW universe under Yash Raj Films as banner's head honcho Aditya Chopra has plans of building an espionage thriller franchise with some of the biggest stars as RAW agents.
The buzz around Pathan started in November when King Khan was clicked outside Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, and soon after speculations about the film were all over the social media. According to unconfirmed reports, the film also features John Abraham and Deepika Padukone.
SRK was last seen in Aanand L. Rai's Zero, which starred Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, too. The 2018 film had failed at the box office.
