Mumbai: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who shot a film, titled Coronavirus, during the lockdown, is ready with yet another film, The Man Who Killed Gandhi. The upcoming film's poster invited criticism for morphing Gandhi and Nathuram Godse's faces together.
Humanist Babu Gogineni called out RGV for the poster calling it outrageous. In his long Facebook Post, he requests the director to 'withdraw the poster' as it lacked 'judgment and rectitude.' However, RGV is apparently unfazed by what netizens and Gogineni has to say and in his response to the backlash asked naysayers to not jump to the conclusions even before watching the film.
"The intention of the morph will be understood in the final film and i am within my rights to exercise my artistic vision like u are in offending God believers..Its not right on ur part to jump the gun even before u see final product.I suggest u take a chill pill and have a beer," wrote RGV replying to Gogineni's post.

The director was once regarded as the pioneer of new-age cinema with his cult hits Satya, Company, Shool, Sarkar and horror films such as Raat and Bhoot. His more recent cinematic outings have not been as successful.
