Mumbai: Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy' and Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba', both starring Ranveer Singh has won big at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on Thursday announced the news on its official social media handle. Sharing the same, IFFM wrote on Twitter: "Presenting the IFFM 'Best Film Award' 2019 to the generation-defining film, Gully Boy."

While Zoya's 'Gully Boy' has won the title of the Best film, Rohit's 'Simmba' has won the title of People's Choice Award.

For the category of Best Director, Sriram Raghavan won the title for 'Andha Dhun' starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu.

Helmed by Rima Das, the Assamese film 'BulBul Can Sing' won the Best Indie film award.

'Chuskit' and 'Super Deluxe' won the title of Equality in Cinema Award.

As announced, IFFM has also conferred Shah Rukh Khan with Excellence in Cinema Award.

Vijay Sethupathi won the title of the Best Actor for 'Super Deluxe'. On the other hand, Tabu won the title of the Best Actress for 'Andha Dhun'.
