Ranveer Singh to join Deepika Padukone at Madame Tussauds

After Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh will be getting his wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds in London.

Mumbai: Bollywood star Ranveer Singh spilled the beans on his impending wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London.

Ranveer announced the news while receiving an award at IIFA 2019 on Wednesday. He was awarded the Best Actor Male category for Padmaavat.

Referring to the fact that wife Deepika Padukone has already got her wax figure at Tussauds, the Simmba actor said, "My mother-in-law was like -- you've to work hard too, we want a statue of you also. Mama, we're going to London. I will see you in London."

Talking about Deepika's wax statue in London, he said, "Let me just add that my wife's 'putla' is the sexiest of all. I must say Deepika is a perfectionist, therefore she was very particular about all the time that she devoted in getting her statue made."

Further, Ranveer expressed his excitement to have a statue beside wife Deepika saying, "I'm going to be figuring out my pose and dress. It's going to be you and me baby, husband and wife, in Madame Tussauds together. Boom."

On the work front, Ranveer is currently prepping for his upcoming biopic 83 based on legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.

Interestingly, the actor will play his real-life role of a husband onscreen as well with Deepika playing his wife in the sports drama.

This will the first time that the couple will be sharing the screen space after their wedding last year.

Ranveer and Deepika who have given big hits like Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela were last seen together in Padmaavat.

83 is slated to release on April 10, 2020, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
