Hyderabad: Bollywood livewire Ranveer Singh is reportedly looking to do a pan-India film at this stage in his career and regarding the same, he met filmmaker Shankar in Chennai.
Ranveer has directors queuing up to sign him but the actor is reportedly planning to work with acclaimed director Shankar. According to reports, Ranveer also took a flight to Chennai to meet the filmmaker to talk about an upcoming film for which a script is reportedly locked. The Padmaavat actor took a time off from the Cirkus shoot around January-end/Early February and planned a trip to Chennai to meet Shankar.

Meanwhile, Ranveer will next star in 83, as the iconic Kapil Dev, who captained India's first-ever cricket World Cup victory campaign in 1983. The actor will also reprise his role of Sangram Bhalerao Simmba in Rohit Shetty's upcoming cop action drama, Sooryavanshi, which stars Akshay Kumar as ATS officer Veer Sooryavanshi.

Later, he reunites with Shetty to adapt Shakespearean comedy for the Bollywood screen. Titled Cirkus, their new collaboration is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play The Comedy Of Errors, with Ranveer essaying a double role.
